North Beach Urban Renewal

North Beach Urban Renewal Main Image

As a result of our advocacy as a community, the Cook Labor Government has demolished the derelict North Beach site and has taken steps to revitalise this important location.

Local residents have been made many promises over the years and I am proud to be your local Member of Parliament that has been able to deliver the demolition that was finalised in November 2023.

The site is now subject to a scheme amendment through the Local Planning Authority - the City of Stirling. This scheme amendment is now open for public consultation until the 5th of April 2024.

I strongly encourage residents in North Beach to provide feedback on this important project to ensure that our local community can have their say about the future of the site.

North Beach is an incredible location, with an equally incredible community – over time with your help I hope to see the revitalisation achieve a residential development that will improve the quality, affordability, diversity, and amenity of housing stock in our community.

If you would like to stay up to date on the progression of this project and be advised of further opportunities for the local community to be informed and get involved, please sign up to my mailing list on my website.

I look forward to continuing to work with you to progress a renewal project that will welcome new members to our diverse and strong community.

Kind regards,

Stuart Aubrey MLA.
